Little else will matter in the end. Business is about more than numbers and sales.  Ultimately it’s about relationships.  Our clients are long-term partners and together we help them explore where they need to be and through a combination of consultancy and coaching, how to get there.
My name is Robert Moorhouse and our company is Solstice.  Our goal is to help you successfully achieve your goals.  We work with entire organisations, teams and individuals across business as a change consultant, trainer and coach. We believe that there is nothing more important in life than figuring out your priorities and then committing yourself to them.  If you, your team or your business want even more success, we can help.


My Background

36 years of business experience, seven of these at director level in Diageo, ten years as a business partner and general manager with Flow Group, and five years as owner of Solstice Consulting Limited.

I have extensive experience in working in & with a variety of organisations, teams & individuals with the common objective of increasing effectiveness & performance.

Solstice Consulting were engaged to deliver a Leadership Development program to 12 middle managers which commenced in March and was completed in November 2018. It consisted of 6 initial coaching workshops before leading into team projects which were supervised by internal mentors. The results were transformational for the business in that we now have a group of highly ambitious employees who are completely aligned with the strategy of the business and are ‘promotion ready’ in terms of taking up senior management roles within the business as they arise. Solstice led the project from the outset, establishing an implementation program, designing the course material in collaboration with the senior management team, facilitated the workshops, designing and moderating the assessment presentations at the end of the project.

As an ancillary benefit the organisation responded to the positive signals in terms of career advancement and supporting this journey in terms of a marked reduction in staff ‘churn’ rates. We believe that this resulted in savings of over 200k in shadowing, training, induction and lost productivity costs in a financial year.

During the feedback sessions the participants praised the support and management/leadership training provided by Robert as it prepared them to face the challenges of adopting specific projects, managing time and taking on more responsibility. The program also provided the participants with time off site to work on their own skills and personal development facilitated by Robert and Solstice with professionalism and empathy.
